Research interests

• Understanding the role of weeds in agro-ecology and the development of integrated weed management for smallholder farmers.
• Understanding weed and crop competition in order establish weed control thresholds and critical time of weed removal in crops.
• Impact of Crop Management and soil types on weeds in smallholder farming areas / Weed Surveys
• Development of weed control strategies suitable for the Pfumvudza cropping systems.

Student supervision

Currently supervising Juliet Murimwa (DPhil student registered with the University of Zimbabwe) covering some aspects of weeds in the agroecosystems.
